All tools break or wear out, eventually.
It's the way this universe is.
So nobody can change that.

The best that can be done instead is to fix them,
although "fix them" sometimes means "get a new one".
Either way, somebody has to do that,
and we know how to do both.
Equally importantly, we know when it's time
to do one or the other.

We also know what we can do, and what you can do,
to keep your computer hardware and software
from wearing out or breaking sooner than need be,
or being broken by the vandals called "hackers".

Some people use the word "prevention"
to describe the steps to delay the wearing out,
or delay the breaking sooner than need be.
 That's not accurate. Delay is accurate;
and it's the best that can ever be done.

We know how to repair,
and how to delay the inevitable repair,
(and do that cheaply) for as long as possible.
